STAFF
Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church , the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-12
EmailSteve Walker
Senior Pastor
Steve has been a pastor for three decades, and thinks he has one of the best jobs in the world. He’d rather be teaching the Bible than doing nearly anything else, though he loves interacting with those who are not yet Christians. Steve also loves bicycling, BMW motorcycles, Macintosh computers, a good story read or told, strong coffee and anything really well-made. Barb is his wife of thirty years; calling him "Dad" is his 22 year old son, Justin, his 26 year old daughter, Melissa, and a three-legged, neutered cat called Stubby.

At Redeemer's I have the privilege of working with Encounter (our group for young adults... and those of us in our thirties-plus), coordinating our weekend worship times, helping people connect and make this place their home. If you need any help connecting, please send me an email by clicking that cool envelope above... It's fancy!

I am Candis' 'third hand' here. I help to make sure that everything balances twice and maintain other ongoing projects. I too, enjoy a balanced checkbook. I like to hike, bike, camp, fish, swim, bbq, and just visit. I like being without walls. Aaron and I will be celebrating our 1st anniversary in July. Praise Him who draws us closer and teaches us how to love. I'm also an aunt to four quickly growing boys. I am so blessed to be able to call Redeemer's home AND work.

EmailLaura Hentschel
Children's Assistant
Hi! I'm Laura Hentschel and this is my husband, Bob. I help Suzy out with the Children's Ministry, which is children ages birth through 5th grade, by preparing classrooms for our very gifted and dedicated Sunday school teachers. I also am responsible for calling volunteers for all the many varied positions that we offer as areas of service. Doing such a thing involves much paperwork, which, once again, I am so privileged to have the opportunity to do. Children are such a blessing! Bob and I have 3 grown children that are all serving the Lord and our first grandchild, Elijah Nye, was born September 2008. What a wonderful time of life this is! Some things I enjoy doing are flower gardening, reading, hanging out with my mom, girls & grandson as well as kicking back in the evenings with my husband at home. My passion is for mentoring young people the ages of my children that the Lord brings into my life. He is so good! I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be working at Redeemers with such a great staff!

My two months temporary has turned into 3 years and counting.

EmailDavid Sherwood
Facility Manager
Seriously, my job only happens because of all the willing volunteers in our church body. Working with volunteers is very rewarding for me because it gives me a chance to connect with people who help on work projects. It’s also a great way to meet new people and people new to our church, people I might not get a chance to know.

Nursery Coordinator
Three of my passions in life are my faith, my family and children. These are what brought me to the position of Nursery Coordinator at Redeemer's. In addition to spending time with my husband, Tom and sons Carter & Conner, I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, camping, NASCAR and my nieces and nephews.
