iPath

The iPath is a way for you to assess where you are spiritually and intentionally take practical steps to grow. The iPath is not the path itself, but a spiritual GPS that helps you figure out where you are and what direction you should head. Formed of twelve evaluative questions, this tool will help you prayerfully and practically assess what might be your next step.

1.    Do I believe in God and acknowledge His character?
    “Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.” Isaiah 40:28 (cf. Acts 17:24-28)

2.    Have I accepted Jesus as my Savior and Lord?”
“Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”  (John 20:30-31 (cf. Acts 2:36-41)

3.    Have I come to the conviction that God has a purpose for my life?
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  (Jeremiah 29:11;  cf. Proverbs 19:21, Ephesians 1:3-14)

4.    Have I decided to pursue God wholeheartedly?
“Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.” (Psalm 86:11;  cf. Mark 12:28-30)

5.    Is my life marked by worship and prayer?
“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”    (1Thess. 5:16-18; cf. Psalm 95:6-7)

6.    Am I learning and obeying God’s Word?
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”  2Timothy 3:16-17 (cf. Psalm 1)

7.    Am I living life responsive to God’s Spirit?
“Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.” (Romans 8:14;  cf. Galatians 5:16-26, Ephesians 5:18)

8.    Do I recognize the presence of Satan and stand against his schemes?
    “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” (Eph. 6:11; cf. 2Cor. 2:11, 11:3)

9.    Am I  connecting relationally in Christian fellowship?
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.  Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”  (Hebrews 10:24-25)

10.    Am I using all God has given me to serve Him and others?
“The earth is the LORD’S, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” (Psalm 24:1; cf. Matthew 25:14-30, Luke 14:33, 1Peter 4:10-11)

11.    Am I learning to live as a contagious Christian?
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of     the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  (Matthew28:19-20)

12.    Am I involved in the worldwide spread of the Good News?
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”    Acts 1:8
